- What is a 4 Year Plan (4YP)?
- 4 Year Plan (4YP) is an academic planning tool which records students past courses, current courses, and future courses to ensure they are on-track to meet graduation requirements.
- What to look for in your 4YP?
- Check all courses are listed (the ones you have taken in the past and current courses)
- Check the credit totals at the bottom:
- credit breakdown by grade (each grade should have a minimum of 6 to maximum of 7)
- number of credits remaining to graduate
- Who has access to your 4YP?
- High school principal, guidance counselor, students and parents
- Can I edit or how do I make changes?
- Only your guidance counselor is able to edit. If you have questions or changes you need to make, please contact your guidance counselor.
- How do I make good use of this tool?
- What is your learning goals at BFA? What courses or what interests do you have that BFA offers? Write that down here.
- Decide your post BFA plan? College, work, gap year? Then consider how BFA can equip you to be competent in getting ready.
- Students can take the proactive approach of planning future courses to avoid scheduling conflicts and manage your workload effectively.
- Communicate with your parents and guidance counselors to receive insight and feedback about your plans
