On December 13, 2022 BFA became aware of phishing emails purporting to have been sent by a former member of staff.
The phishing email contains a link to a website that should not be trusted. Clicking on that link may be dangerous. If you received a message of this kind you should not click on the link, rather you should delete the email immediately.
The phishing email contains the text of a genuine email sent by the recipient of the phishing email to the former staff member. This means that the party responsible for sending the phishing emails may be able to read names, addresses and other personal information that was in the email sent to the former member of staff. This could potentially lead to the abuse of personal data, although at present we are not aware of any case where this has happened.
We can assure you that BFA takes data protection extremely seriously. We have already taken steps to ensure that this kind of personal data breach cannot happen again. If you have any questions or concerns please contact our Data Protection Officer at george.matthews@bfacademy.de or tel. +49 (0)7626 9161-625.
