TRAINING PASTORS IN AFRICA
“We sent all five of our kids to BFA. Each of us has our own set of hands, yet we are all involved in the same work: getting the Gospel out to the last-to-be-reached people. We are so thankful for BFA and its link to our work here through providing such a great education and caring environment for our children.”

CARING FOR THIRD CULTURE KIDS
Michèle is an alumna from the class of 1986. She then returned to serve at BFA for 20 years (1991-2011) and now works and advocates for TCKs around the world. She comments: “I returned to BFA because it has been such a rare place of learning and belonging for TCKs like me. I wanted to have a part in offering both to the next generation. There’s a rare teacher-student dynamic at BFA that stems from doing life in community. Interacting inside and outside the classroom with my exceptional students was such a gift.”

EQUIPPING GLOBAL LEADERS
Tim Shuman is the Senior Director for International Schools at ACSI, and a longtime friend of BFA and former staff member. Tim had a variety of roles during his time on staff – everything from being an RA in HBR to being the Head of School. Each position he has held here equipped him for where God has called him as he continues to serve and partner with Christian schools around the world.

CHURCH PLANTING IN MALTA
“Our daughter, Kathryn, had some TCK friends headed to BFA and asked about that possibility. We went for a visit and immediately felt peace that this was the path for her. She was able to have so many terrific experiences like drama, cross country, and international school trips as well as being invested in and challenged spiritually. She grew SO much! Thomas followed her to BFA after a one year gap. He grew academically, had multiple leadership opportunities, enjoyed drama, and built friendships that are still ongoing. We are super thankful for BFA and the loving, supportive atmosphere that served and is serving as an “incubator” for our children’s academic, social and spiritual growth.
