The Full Body of Christ:
In this story, a recent BFA parent shares one of his experiences while serving on the field. While on a journey, he and a friend traveled to a remote village. They met an elderly man outside his small thatched-roof hut. He started to share stories with them, and they then asked him they could share a story with him. They then shared the story of the Bible. And as they started at the very beginning, he interrupted them and pulled out a pamphlet. “You’re telling me that Story” he said, pointing to the pamphlet. To the great surprise and much delight of these missionaries, he was holding a copy of Genesis 1-11. They then asked him if he would like to hear the rest of the story, and shared with him the good news of the Gospel; they shared with this man the name of the Son of God for the very first time— Jesus.
This pamphlet had been funded by a church in the United States, translated in Vietnam, printed in Thailand, and shared with this man in another country altogether.
These men simply had the privilege of finishing the work started by other brothers and sisters around the world. BFA is proud to play a small part in stories like these through its boarding education program.
